DESIRÉE NAMED A 2020 RBC CANADIAN WOMEN ENTREPRENEUR FINALIST

Wednesday September 16, 2020 (Calgary, AB) – SureCall is proud to announce that Desirée Bombenon, CEO of SureCall has been named a Finalist for the 2020 RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards for the RBC Momentum Award. The RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards are the pre-eminent national business awards recognizing the country’s leading female entrepreneurs. Now in its 28th year, the program is an initiative of Women of Influence, an award-winning organization dedicated to advancing Canadian women.
From a pool of thousands of nominees, 23 Finalists from coast to coast have been selected to represent 7 Award Categories. The RBC Momentum Award is dedicated to a female entrepreneur that is tailored to recognize women from all sectors of the economy and at all stages of business growth. They include: Ones to Watch Award, Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub Micro-Business Award, Start-Up Award, RBC Momentum Award, Social Change Award, Innovation Award, and Excellence Award. Desirée Bombenon is one of 3 Regional Finalists being recognized in this category, representing the West.
Under Desirée's leadership SureCall Contact Centers - has been recognized for numerous industry awards for service excellence, ethics and integrity. Desirée has pivoted her company into a social enterprise and through the "GoodCall" program has established SureCall as a "purpose driven" organization. SureCall became a Certified Benefits (B Corp) in April of 2019 and was named a Best For the World Honouree in 2019, rounding out Desirée's vision of utilizing business as a Force for Good.

The winners will be announced and celebrated at the 28thAnnual Awards Gala, on Wednesday, November 18, where all attendees will be digitally transported into the first ever Virtual Awards Gala. This immersive and experiential experience, which will be live streamed around the world, will shine a spotlight on all the amazing Canadian women entrepreneurs.
The RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards recognizes female business owners from across Canada who make impressive and substantial contributions to the local, Canadian or global economy. Candidates share a strong entrepreneurial vision and a relentless passion in pursuing their dreams. These awards recognize business women from three major regions across Canada: East, Central and West. All nominees were required to submit thorough applications, which are reviewed and judged by a panel of prominent business leaders and subject to a due diligence performed by KPMG.
