Desirée Bombenon awarded Entrepreneur Of The Year® for Communication Technology Prairies Region
October 17, 2019 (Calgary, Alberta) – CEO of SureCall Contact Centers Ltd., Desirée Bombenon, was awarded The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2019 Prairies Region for the category of Communication Technology, during the annual Gala at the Telus Convention on Thursday October 10th 2019.
EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® is a unique global program that recognizes entrepreneurial achievement among individuals and companies that demonstrate vision, leadership and success — and work to improve the quality of life in their communities, countries and around the world.
“It’s one thing to have the courage to start your own business and another entirely to reinvent an industry” says Rob Jolley, EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Prairies Program Director.
This year’s awards highlighted the importance of recognizing both men and women leaders in the many industry sectors associated with the Award. There was a total of 46 Nominees in 9 Categories. Out of 46 finalists only 6 were women, and out of the 6 women, 2 were awarded.
Desirée is a community builder, serves on several boards, and has catalyzed utilizing business as a force for good through the GoodCall™ program. She is a Harvard Alumni with the Advanced Leadership Initiative cohort, where she designed Hero Girls™, a project to educate females in underserved communities in order to raise the prosperity of the entire community. Under the leadership of Desirée SureCall has won numerous awards for service excellence and culture. SureCall became a Certified B Corporation and was named a Best For The World Honoree in 2019.
